Live A Flourishing Life™workshops and private coaching sessions offer insight and assistance, enabling you to work through the obstacles that stand in your way, and guide you towards actionable, positive changes that will affect all areas of your life. The approach is twofold. First, we explore the long-standing attitudes and habits that have influenced your life. Armed with this insight, you will develop a workable plan to manage the stress-inducing challenges that come your way.

Second, we uncover your resilient skills and attitudes, the building blocks to strengthening and maintaining your resiliency – the foundation to living a flourishing life. We reinforce the resilience you do have, and develop the factors you do not have. Combined with your stress management plan, you will create a blueprint to guide you soundly throughout your life.

I will be presenting a 2-hour introductory workshop - "Live A Flourishing Life - How to Decrease Stress, Build Resilience, and Live The Good Life!" at Harrington Hospital. As part of Harrington Hospital's commitment to Total Local Care and community wellness, we are partnering to bring better health, resiliency, and a more flourishing life to you!

Why This Program Is Important To You...

Let's be honest...there is no such thing as a stress-free life. But, if we understand the affects and effects of our habits, attitudes, perceptions, and reactions on our stress levels, then we have taken a vital first step to successful stress management. Practicing a daily stress-reducing technique, such as progressive relaxation or mindful breathing exercises, is another key to living a stress-reduced life. In this introductory workshop, I will outline the components of how to live a flourishing life through stress management and resilience building, and I'll teach a relaxation exercise that I call Relax and Flourish.

During the workshop, we will:

  • identify various types of stressors learn techniques to recognize when the body is under stress
  • learn how to take action to metabolize stress hormones
  • explore, uncover, and discover your stress triggers
  • identify the characteristics and factors that make for resilient people
  • discuss techniques for adopting and developing resilient skills and attitudes
  • learn the Relax and Flourish progressive relaxation and mindful breathing exercise
