General Submissions Policy
Our market: The Reed Edwards Company publishes a wide range of literary fiction including memoirs and short story collections. We do not publish children's books, young adult dramas, juvenile literature, how-to books, educational resources, or fantasy.
Submission guidelines: We prefer completed manuscripts typed in a 12 pt. font, double-spaced on 8.5 x 11 white paper. All pages should be numbered and without binding or stapling.
Please include a cover letter with your contact information, including telephone number, e-mail address, and your street address. Also be sure to include your credentials and publishing history.
Only submissions including a self-addressed stamped envelope, (SASE) will be responded to and/or returned. Please ensure the SASE is of sufficient size, with sufficient postage if you wish your manuscript returned.
In general, we plan at least 12 to 18 months in advance. Submissions are screened in-house, so an initial response will normally be reported within 10 weeks.
